First off, Hull City are ‘closing in’ on the acquisition of a Premier League striker who has also been linked with Sheffield United. Sunderland, likewise, are thought to be in the race for his signature.
Meanwhile, both Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers are braced for disappointment, as one of their mutual transfer targets has snubbed them both in favour of a move to the Swiss League. Let’s take a look at who it is.
Hull City ‘close in’ on signing Sheffield United target Kieffer Moore
Hull City look set to beat Sheffield United in the race to sign Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore in the summer transfer window, according to a recent report from Hull Live. Additionally, Sunderland are also thought to have been interested - they too will miss out on him.

He fared much better in the Championship when he was loaned out to Ipswich Town - he found the back of the net on seven occasions for the Tractor Boys, notching up a solitary assist along the way.
Now at the age of 31, he will be hoping that he can give his career a shot in the arm at the KC Stadium - assuming his transfer to the Tigers goes smoothly. He has achieved promotion from the second tier of English football on two occasions in the past - once with Bournemouth, with the other coming during his time at Ipswich last season.

Sunderland and QPR had both been in pursuit of Valencia’s Declan Frith in the summer - however, neither of them will be signing him, as the 22-year-old has agreed a deal to join FC Thun in Switzerland.
This is according to a post on Thun’s official club website, which confirmed Frith’s move from Valencia to the Stockhorn Arena. He has penned a three year deal with the club, having joined them for an undisclosed fee. Last season, he primarily played for Valencia’s B team (Valencia CF Mestalla), scoring a single goal over the course of 14 league games.
Previously, Frith has spent time in the academies of Chelsea and Aston Villa. Both are regarded as two of the best youth systems in the world - can the Englishman replicate the success of his peers?
