Birmingham City handed National League opponent in first round of FA Cup - plus who Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers were drawn against

Blues will make the trip to Sutton United during the weekend commencing November 2.

Birmingham enter at the first round stage for the first time in 30 years following their relegation from the Championship to League One. It’s not a historic milestone the club will have wanted to mark but it’s provided the opportunity to play a team much further down the pyramid.

Twice finalists in 1931 and 1956, Blues most recently reached the semi-finals of the world’s oldest football competition in 1975. None of the last 13 seasons have seen Birmingham make it to even the quarter-finals, so there’s plenty of motivation to make history this time around.
