It's been a tough weekend for Championship football fans with no fixtures due to the international break but it's now just a matter of days until the second-tier clubs are back in action.

It's still all to play for in the Championship with both play-off and relegation places undecided going into the final stretch of the season.

Coventry City are one of those sides hoping to mount a late push into the top six and will be hoping to continue their five-match unbeaten run after the break.

Here's the latest transfer news from Coventry and the rest of the Championship.

Coventry City will only listen to West Ham star man bid if transfer record smashed

Coventry City will accept no less than a club record transfer fee of £20 million for star man Viktor Gyokeres this summer.

The Swedish striker has 18 goals and eight assists in 38 Championship appearances this season and has been turning heads. With six goals and four assists in the last seven fixtures, those transfer rumours continue to hot up.

West Ham are touted as the club most interested in the Coventry star, but it won't be the case of a bargain Championship deal for David Moyes and co. if they do come shopping this summer.

The Sun reports that Coventry have slapped a £20 million price tag on the 24-year-old.

If a club was to pay that lofty fee, it would break the current Coventry record set way back in 2000 when Robbie Keane joined Inter Milan for £13 million.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano shared news on Sunday evening that the 19-year-old is being watched by AS Monaco, Augsburg and Udinese as he continues to impress in Scotland.

Johnston had already been linked with moves to soon-to-be Premier League outfit Burnley as well as promotion contenders Sheffield United.

Romano wrote: "Scottish talented fullback Max Johnston will leave Motherwell in the summer - as many clubs are already showing interest.

"AS Monaco, Augsburg and Udinese are among clubs keen on signing Johnston, but the race is still open.”

The rising star's Motherwell side are currently fighting relegation in the Scottish Premier League, sitting five points ahead of Kilmarnock in the drop zone.
