The Sky Bet Championship is now underway for the 2023/24 season and teams up and down the division have been delving deep into the transfer market to bolster their squads, giving them the best chance of success.

Some sides have seen more action than others but no team has failed entirely to complete a deal this summer. The transfer activity makes for a very different-looking English second tier personnel-wise and in terms of finances.

Birmingham City, with nine signings, are on the top end of business in the Championship. The fees may not be extortionate, but that doesn’t mean the new additions haven’t boosted the club’s market value. The same can be said for plenty of other teams.
