Latest predicted Championship table forecasts surprises for West Brom, Southampton, Norwich City, Middlesbrough, Hull City and Preston

The Championship standings could look very different at the end of the season according to the latest data experts’ table prediction.

Eight games have now been played by every team at the start of the 2023/24 EFL Championship season and there are some indications as to how things could finish up.

The likes of Ipswich Town, Preston North End, Hull City and Cardiff City have surprised nearly everyone by doing an outstanding job of getting into the top seven.

Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale are Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Stoke City, Southampton and Coventry City, with all five teams disappointing fans so far.

West Bromwich Albion are also in the below-bar bracket as the play-off spots are three points away whereas Birmingham City are in the over-performing category.

As is the way every single campaign, however, things can change considerably in the Championship with a huge 46-game calendar set out.

There are still 38 games to go for every club, meaning there’s still a lot of potential for those at the summit to plummet and those at the base to soar.

That’s exactly what the latest predictions from BetVictor foresee, with some major shifts at both ends of the table. Flick through the pages for a full run-through.
