Here’s how all 24 EFL Championship teams rank up against one another for average home attendance during the 2023/24 season to date.

The Sky Bet Championship might well be a big distance away from the match quality and vast of the Premier League but the attendance figures all around the country aren’t exactly too subordinate.

The 2023/24 season has seen more than a dozen fixtures per club so far and a figure in excess of 3.4 million spectators have shown their faces, averaging 22,784 per game.

For comparison, and this is taking into account the 60,000+ capacities of Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, the mean figure in the Premier League is 38,622 per match.

The dedication of fanbases supporting teams in the English second tier simply cannot be overlooked, particularly so given the standard of play is worse than in the top flight.
