Championship ‘dirtiest’ teams table: West Brom, Leeds United, Leicester City and rivals compared

The latest 'dirtiest teams' table compares all 24 clubs in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Sky Bet Championship may not be as high of a standard as the Premier League but that doesn’t make it any less competitive.

Most would argue there's actually more drama in England’s second tier with the battles for winning the title, qualifying for the play-offs and avoiding relegation often go down to the wire. The vast number of clubs usually in each of these fights can lift just about anybody off their seats.

With every point earned potentially changing the mood at each club, player often put everything on the line to achieve the best possible results. Often, that makes things physical, with referees having to intervene with relative punishments.

Heading into the restart after the March international break, 1,841 cards have been brandished this campaign, averaging 2.59 per game. Some teams are serial foulers, while others avoid reprimand where possible.

Starting with the dirtiest, how all 24 teams compare in the 2023/24 ‘fair play’ table, with one disciplinary point per yellow, three per yellow-red and five per red. If even on points, the team with the most yellows goes ahead.
