Injury updates have emerged for Danny Welbeck, Yankuba Minteh and Sam Johnstone ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion vs Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves may have to face Brighton top scorer Welbeck as the veteran striker will undergo a late fitness test after suffering a back injury against Newcastle United.

Gary O’Neil’s side won’t have to deal with rapid winger Yankuba Minteh, though, as the Gambian has been ruled out with a minor muscular injury. Joao Pedro, Adam Webster, James Milner and Matt O’Riley are also sidelined for the Seagulls but Solly March is in contention for the matchday squad.

Wanderers are hoping to have Sam Johnstone back ready and available after the goalkeeper missed the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City through an adductor issue. O’Neil said he won’t have a selection headache following Jose Sa’s impressive performance in that match, so it’ll be interesting to see which shot-stopper starts.

Hwang Hee-Chan is progressing well but remains unavailable due to an ankle injury, whereas Boubacar Traore is expected back in December from his knee issue. Bastien Meupiyou is nearing fitness but is still a doubt. Yerson Mosquera, Enso Gonzalez and Sasa Kalajdzic are all continuing their recoveries from anterior cruciate ligament injuries.

Outs: Minteh, Pedro, Webster, Milner, O’Riley (Brighton); Hwang, Mosquera, Gonzalez, Kalajdzic (Wolves). Doubts: Welbeck, Johnstone, Meupiyou.
