Brentford v Wolves team news - as 10 ruled out and 1 doubt

Team news and injury updates ahead of Brentford v Wolves in the Premier League – including updates on Pedro Neto and Mathias Jensen.

Wolves are on their travels as they face Brentford at Gtech Community Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday, December 27. It's the first of two games over the festive period with a home match against Everton to come on Saturday, December 30.

Gary O'Neil's side go into the match on the back of a 2-1 home win against Brentford's London rivals Chelsea. It was the first time since 1995 that a Premier League match had been scheduled on Christmas Eve, and despite the protestations, it was the hosts who won the clash. Mario Lemina's header sealed the victory in what was the only goal of the game, and provided them with the perfect platform for the festive period.

Brentford have been afforded a rest because of Manchester City's involvement in the Club World Cup. The West London side were due to play the Citizens this weekend, but because of Man City's Champions League win, the match had to be rescheduled. Their last match came against Aston Villa on December 17, and that saw both Ben Mee and Boubacar Kamara red carded. Mee will now miss the festive schedule, and will serve the first of his three-game ban against Wolves.

No fresh injury concerns emerged from Wolves' win over the Blues, and given the nature of the small squad, rotation will be key when keeping everyone fit.

Wolves following their game against Chelsea on Christmas Eve, will have at least one full training session on Boxing Day. Will Brentford benefit from their mid-season rest, or Wolves be match fit? Here's the latest injury and team news from the Bees and Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of their clash.
