Bid accepted as Birmingham City transfer exit 'close' for versatile midfielder

Birmingham City have reportedly accepted a bid from Turkish Süper Lig outfit Sivasspor for midfielder Juninho Bacuna.
The Curaçao international, seven times a scorer and six times an assister in 45 Championship matches last season, was firmly in Chris Davies’ plans for next campaign - but interest from abroad has proven too alluring.

Hide AdBacuna has just 12 months left on his Blues contract and Sivasspor have taken advantage, making an offer too good to turn down. BBC Radio WM reports Bacuna won’t be travelling with Birmingham to the pre-season trip to Austria as a bid has been accepted.
Sivasspor are closing to beating Gaziantep and Sassuolo - who had expressed an interest - to Bacuna’s signature, though personal terms are yet to be agreed. The former Rangers and Huddersfield Town man could reunite with Alex Pritchard if he does green-light the move.

Bacuna leaving Birmingham would be a huge loss as he offers superb energy and versatility. Capable of playing in any midfield role or as a right-back, the 26-year-old would have played an important part in the upcoming League One campaign.
If everything goes to plan, Bacuna will depart Blues with 111 appearances, 13 goals and 15 assists to his name.
