Birmingham City reach agreement for former Everton and Middlesbrough ace

Lukas Jutkiewicz has officially signed a new one-year contract at Birmingham, keeping the 35-year-old at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Widely recognised as a club legend, Jutkiewicz wants to help Blues return to the Championship following last season’s relegation. It’s hoped the drop to League One will increase the striker’s game time after he played just 548 minutes in the second tier last term, scoring three goals.

“It was just a question of getting it done. I think from the minute the season finished I wanted to get back here and look forward to the new challenge,” Jutkiewicz told BluesTV.
"Pre-season is key really, it is so important to hit the ground running. We are back in on Monday and it will be full steam ahead to make sure we are ready for the first game. So, it was incredibly important to get it all wrapped up."
Jutkiewicz continues legendary Birmingham stay
Often utilised as a target man due to his aerial ability and outstanding hold-up play, Jutkiewicz has scored 66 goals and made 27 assists in 330 appearances for Birmingham since joining from Burnley in 2016. What was initially a loan deal has since become a mightily successful £1 million transfer.
