Birmingham City announce surprise ‘new signing’ as ex-Charlton Athletic midfielder agrees deal

Birmingham City have announced the signing of promising young midfielder Sahid Kamara after a successful trial period.

The 19-year-old impressed in two recent Under-21s fixtures as Blues claimed six points out of six against Bristol City and Ipswich Town.

Kamara has played at both an academy and development level for Charlton Athletic. He also played on loan at Corinthian Casuals at the end of last campaign.

The midfielder, who has signed an initial one-year professional contract, will link up with Steve Spooner and Birmingham’s U21 squad.
