Birmingham City midfielder Ivan Sunjic was told to leave a training session at his loan club Hertha Berlin on Sunday morning after an alleged bust-up. The Bosnian-Croatian, who is with the German side on a temporary basis until the end of the season, was involved in a row with manager Pal Dardai.

Sunjic wasn’t even in the matchday squad for Hertha’s 4-2 defeat to Werder Bremen on Saturday but that didn’t stop the head coach from confronting him. Standing in a team circle before the next day’s training session, Dardai gave a speech before going over to Sunjic and yelling at him.

Sky Sport Germany reports the midfielder was told to “go away and f*** off” from the premises, with Hertha claiming it was down to a lack of discipline. Sunjic did indeed depart the facility, with whole incident shown on live German television at the time.

Now at rock bottom of the Bundesliga table on 22 points after 29 games, Hertha look to be a likely candidate for relegation. It appears Dardai has given up on Sunjic as an option to get his team out of the mess they’re in, as the 26-year-old’s minutes have dried up.

Sunjic has played 18 times in the Bundesliga this season but he has only been int he starting 11 for 41% of matches. Having played a combined 124 Championship games for Birmingham over the three seasons prior, this will have likely come as a shock for the former Croatia international.
