Birmingham City have had some controversial transfers over the years, many of which have included bringing in players on loan.
Plenty have worked out, whereas others have failed completely. Much of the action came throughout the Premier League years, but some also in the Championship.
In recent times, the likes of Lukas Jutkiewicz, Maxime Colin, Harlee Dean, Che Adams, Scott Hogan and more have worked out well, with each player managing over 100 appearances.
Others have been far from memorable, however, with either a handful of games played or just very little involvement. Some, on the other hand, did work out but have slipped the memory.
With that in mind, here are 14 players you (probably) forgot once played for Blues.
1. Nicklas Bendtner
Known for his time at Arsenal, Bendtner also played for Blues - scoring 11 goals in 42 loan appearances (2006-07).
2. Carlo Costly
The Honduras international had quite the journeyman career, with his only English adventure with Blues on on loan in 2009. He played eight times.
3. Nicky Butt
Many won’t remember that Butt, a Manchester United and Newcastle United legend, had the 2005-06 season on loan at St. Andrew’s. He scored three in 24 games.
4. Dwight Yorke
Yet another Red Devils legend, Yorke - believe it or not - signed permanently with Blues in 2004-05. Scored twice in 13 games before leaving for Sydney FC.
