Chris Davies and Paul Hurst have named their respective starting line-ups and substitutes ahead of this evening's clash at the New Meadow.
Both side's are on the hunt for their first win of the their group stage campaign. Blues drew 1-1 with Walsall but lost on penalties, whilst Shrewsbury suffered a defeat to Fulham's under-21s.

Hide AdBirmingham City are without several players owing to injury, but mainly international call-ups. Bailey Peacock-Farrell returned early from duty with the Northern Ireland, but that was because of a shoulder injury.
Davies has made five changes from the 1-0 defeat to Charlton Athleic at the weekend. Goalkeeper Bradley Mayo is on the bench, along with academy graduates Brandon Khela, and Zaid Betteka.
Dion Sanderson returns to the side, having not played for the first-team since the Carabao Cup win against Charlton Athletic in mid-August. Alfie May has been entrusted with the captain’s armband.
Marc Leonard starts for the first time in five games, having been an unused substitute against Huddersfield Town, and Charlton Athletic.

Hide AdAyumu Yokoyama is back in a match day squad, after being left out of the last three games. The 21-year-old hasn’t played since the win against Walsall.
