The release date of the latest edition of FIFA is on the horizon and with that, player ratings have now been revealed.

For those that don the royal blue of Birmingham City, there are some indifferent looking numbers across the board. From top rated, to fastest, to most skillful - here’s all you need to know about the Blues squad.

Top rated

Unsurprisingly boyhood bluenose and most recent signing Troy Deeney comes in as the highest rated player in the team with a 74 overall, beating out Ivan Sanchez and Maxime Colin who follow in just behind on 73.

With Deeney playing the majority of his recent career in the Premier League and dropping down a level to join Birmingham, it shouldn’t really come as too much of a shock.

Though, having said that, a 74 overall rating results in him having a silver card on the Ultimate Team game mode, meaning no Blues player dons a gold card in FIFA 22.

Rating boost

This one is a short list. In fairness, if you go off the back of the majority of last season, there aren’t many players that did deserve a boost but there are a couple that got them. The defensive duo of Harlee Dean and Marc Roberts both received a +1 improving their overall to 71 and 70 respectively.

And where the former was a short list, this one is much longer. Lukas Jutkiewicz and Ivan Sunjic both took the biggest hits on their overalls which seems harsh, both losing three points. Jutkiewicz drops from 72 to 69 (nice) whereas Sunjic drops from 73 to 70.

Others that were on the end of a negative update include Jonathan Leko (67-66), Jeremie Bela (73-72), Riley McGree (71-70), Kristian Pedersen (74-72), George Friend (70-69) and Neil Etheridge (73-72).

Fastest

For the second straight season, wing-back Bela retains his crown as fastest in the Birmingham City team though this time he is joined by Sanchez. Both boast a 91 in the pace statistic, though the former did lose one pace from FIFA 21 going from a 92 to 91. Age must be catching up to him.

On the flip side, Deeney comes in as the slowest with 50 which is slower than all of the team’s centre-backs. Not sure he’ll be too chuffed with that one.

Skill moves and weak foot

Here’s one for the flip-flappy annoying FIFA players among you. You know who you are.

Bela, Jordan Graham and Tahith Chong all boast four star skill-moves which will make all three highly sought after targets when building silver/Championship Ultimate Teams.

Bela also boasts a four star weak foot meaning he’s guaranteed to cost you bank once the game comes around.

Other players that hold the four star weak foot trait include Ryan Woods, Colin and Jutkiewicz.

Graham is the only player within the team to hold a five star rating of any kind - boasting a five star weak foot trait. Combine that with his four star skill-moves and he’s another that will prove highly popular in game.

Worst player

19-year-old Adan George holds the infamous title of worst player among the Birmingham City FIFA cards coming in with an overall of 52. He beats out fellow youngster, goalkeeper Archie Matthews who just pips him with a 53.

George spent part of the 2020/21 on loan with Walsall but failed to make an appearance before coming back and joining up with the Blues under 23’s.

Luckily for him it’s something to be taken with a pinch of salt. At least he’s got 80 pace.
