Predicted Championship table after transfers for Birmingham City, Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Sunderland - gallery

Following major transfers, an updated predicted Championship table has emerged for the 2023/24 season, with shocks for Birmingham, Leeds, Ipswich and Sunderland

The start of the 2023/24 Championship season is now merely weeks away and transfer action up and down the country is heightening the anticipation for what could become one of the most competitive campaigns in recent history.

Some of the biggest moves so far include Shea Charles to Southampton for £10.5 million, Harry Winks to Leicester City for £10 million and Ellis Simms to Coventry City for £6.1 million but other, cheaper deals have gone through too.

Birmingham City lead the way in terms of the number of transfers, with six finalised at the time of publication. John Eustace’s side are preparing for their first season under new ownership and things are looking very promising.

Some teams are yet to see any action at all, with Huddersfield Town, Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion yet to get off the mark. There’s still time for things to change but for now, it’s been a rather quiet window for those sides.

Very early predictions were made a few weeks ago when the promotions and relegations were confirmed but these have shifted considerably following the major transfers up and down the division.

With that in mind, here are the latest odds for promotion and relegation for the 24 teams set to compete in the English second tier throughout 2023/24, as well as the positions they are looking set to finish in as a result.
