Nine key away days for Birmingham City fans to mark in their calendar ahead of the 2022/23 season

Oh we do love playing away.

Birmingham City’s fixtures ahead of the 2022/23 Championship season were released today.

The Blues head to Luton Town on the opening day before taking on last season’s losing play-off finalists Huddersfield Town at St Andrew’s.

Those two Championship fixtures will have a Carabao Cup round one match-up sandwiched in between them too with the opponents to be revealed later on today.

Those three games, along with the rest of the year’s calendar are about the only guaranteed thing surrounding Birmingham at this moment in time.

With the ownership situation not sorted, a threadbare squad at Wast Hills and no manager in sight, things aren’t looking too rosy.

One thing that can hopefully cheers fans up between now and then is planning a few away days.

Blues always travel in huge numbers, better than most in the league and arguably the league above and regardless of how good or bad the team on the pitch are, that won’t change.

So, for those hardy fans planning to travel up and down the country to watch the club for the next 10 months again, BirminghamWorld have picked out nine key away days you’ll want to have pencilled in the diary.

If you missed the full fixture release earlier today, you can check it out here.
