Next Birmingham City manager 'candidates' - from Steve Cooper to ex-Chelsea, Sunderland & Leeds United bosses

A whole host of managers have been tipped to replace Wayne Rooney at Birmingham City, with one a clear favourite.

Steve Cooper has emerged as the clear favourite to take over the Birmingham City manager's job left vacant by the sacking of Wayne Rooney.

The former Nottingham Forest man isn't the only one tipped, though, with ex-Chelsea, Sunderland and Leeds United bosses - among others - touted for the St Andrew's helm.

A tricky task awaits whoever is hired as Birmingham are well down in 20th spot in the Sky Bet Championship, just six points above Sheffield Wednesday in the relegation zone.
