Former Liverpool and Newcastle United defender Jose Enrique believes Liverpool need to ‘go all in’ in an attempt to lure Jude Bellingham to Anfield this summer.

The former Birmingham City star-boy has been a revelation since his from away from St Andrew’s becoming an ever present in a strong Borussia Dortmund side whilst also breaking into the England’s senior international squad.

Bellingham, who doesn’t turn 19 until the end of June, is now attracting interest from the best the Premier League has to offer and even Champions League winners Real Madrid are said to be keeping a close eye on the teenager.

But Enrique wants to see his former club make the decisive move for the Brummie and called the play-maker the ‘best option’ out there for the Reds to pursue.

“The best option for me would be Jude Bellingham,” the Spaniard told bettingexpert.

“But I’m not sure he would be possible this summer because they (Dortmund) sold [Erling] Haaland already. I’m not sure they would be happy to sell Bellingham.

“But if I were Liverpool, I would go all in. Next summer you won’t be the only one who is looking to sign him.

“Maybe other teams are coming for him as well, and that is a problem.

“Maybe the others will offer him more in salaries, such as Manchester City or Real Madrid or teams like that. If they come in, they pay bigger salaries than Liverpool. That’s a reality.”
