Leicester City are ‘working on’ a deal that will see Atalanta midfielder Jeremie Boga join the club on a season-long loan.

Boga, who started his career with Chelsea and has also had a successful loan spell with Birmingham City, is said to be keen on a return to England after spending the last four years in Italy.

Fabrizio Romano broke the news that the Foxes had ‘opened talks’ with the 25-year-old winger on Wednesday afternoon and that has today been confirmed by John Percy of The Telegraph, who states that there is a ‘confidence’ in Leicestershire that a deal can be sorted.

Percy wrote via his Twitter: “#lcfc are still working on a loan deal for Atalanta winger Jeremie Boga. Confidence now that something can be sorted. Leicester also due to announce the £15m signing of Wout Faes.”

Faes has since been announced by the club and it’s now a case of wait and see in regards to whether a deal for Boga can get done before the deadline at 23:00.
