Leeds United are ‘lining up’ a move for young Birmingham City midfielder George Hall.

That’s according to The Athletic who state that the Whites are also after West Ham United’s Sonny Perkins in a bid to bolster their academy talent.

Hall, who doesn’t turn 18 until the middle of July is one of the more highly rated youngsters coming through the Blues’ youth set-up and made his first team debut at just 17-years-old during the 2-1 defeat to QPR back in January of this year.

The teenager has spent his entire career to date at St Andrew’s, joining the club when he was just seven in 2012.

In November 2021, he was also given his first call up to the Young Lions under-18 international side where he has since gone on to make four appearances.

Losing Hall would come as a cruel blow to Blues just weeks after having their academy status forcefully downgraded to category two - the first club to ever have this happen to them.
