Birmingham City are aiming for their first victory since the end of August

Birmingham City are aiming for their first victory in five league matches as they play host to Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

The Blues kicked off the season in fine fashion with three victories from their opening four games, but they have slipped down the table in recent weeks with defeats to Norwich, Preston and Watford and they have scored just one goal from their last five league games.

Birmingham will hope to return to winning ways in this week’s contest but they come against a Huddersfield side who have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks and they avoided defeat throughout the entirety of September with two victories and three draws.

The match comes at a crucial time for Blues boss John Eustance who is desperate to push his side up the league table, amid speculation over the appointment of Wayne Rooney as his successor.

But when is Birmingham vs Huddersfield and how can fans keep up to date with all of the action?

The two teams last faced each other back in February with The Terriers claiming a 2-1 victory on Neil Warnock’s first game back at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The reverse meeting proved more favourable for Birmingham and they recorded a 2-1 victory at home in August 2022.

How to watch Birmingham vs Huddersfield

Birmingham’s Championship clash with Huddersfield will not be advertised on TV as Sky Sports Main Event has opted to cover another Championship game between Southampton and Stoke.

However, fans will still be able to follow all the action via the Sky Sports red button.

The game will not be available to stream live as red button facilities are not accessible for SkyGo.
