Birmingham City return to the action this weekend with an away trip to Hull City. The Blues’ record at the MKM Stadium hasn’t been great over recent years and they will be looking to put things right in East Yorkshire this time around.

The Midlands outfit make the trip up north on Sunday sat in 16th in the league table and are two points above the Tigers. Here is a look at the latest injury news regrading both clubs...

John Eustace has said in his pre-game press conference that young defender Nico Gordon is back on the grass with his teammates. Experienced George Friend is also back training and is expected to play for the U21s next week meaning this next match may come too soon for him.

Centre-back Marc Roberts remains sidelined and is a ‘couple of weeks’ away from his return. His boss has said his absence is a ‘big miss’. Birmingham will also be without Wolves loan man Dion Sanderson as he serves a suspension so their defensive department is being stretched for this one.

Hull have been unlucky with injuries so far this season and have Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Vaughn Covil, Adama Traore and Benjamin Tetteh out with long-term problems. In addition, Hull Live have reported that Chelsea loan man Harvey Vale has returned to his parent club to receive some treatment on his groin issue.

The Tigers’ interim boss, Andy Dawson, has said that left-back Callum Elder may miss out with a hamstring injury and midfielder Regan Slater is suspended.

However, on a more positive note, Brandon Fleming returned for the development team last week. The academy graduate enjoyed a lot of game time last term under former manager Shota Arveladze.
