Birmingham City splashed around £1.1 million on agent fees and intermediaries this season, according to new official figures published by the Football Association. The Blues welcomed eleven new signings over the past two transfer windows, with Tahith Chong’s permanent move the only deal that demanded a fee.
Meanwhile, West Brom spent significantly more as they coughed up around £2.3 million - one of the highest figures in the Championship. The Baggies brought in some big names to boost their chances of promotion including the lieks of Jed Wallace, Nathaniel Chalobah and John Swift, however they still sit four points outside of the play-off spots.
