Hide AdBale, who has spent the last decade with Los Blancos and has won everything there is to win as a professional at club level, looks like he could now make an astonishing move back to England’s second-tier.
The five-time Champions League winner has been rumoured to do everything from retire, to move to the Spanish second division, to sign for Aston Villa this summer.
He’s evidently still got more than enough talent to hack it at the top level as shown by his exploits in international football and his loan spell with Tottenham Hotspur last season hence the links to a return to the Premier League.

Hide AdIncredibly though, the initial seemingly far-fetched murmurs about a potential move back home to Wales to play for his hometown club could now be becoming reality.
As first reported by WalesOnline, Bale was at Cardiff City’s training ground to speak to the manager and staff this morning and will now make a decision on his future in the coming days.
Imagine saying a few years ago that Gareth Bale would be lining up in the Championship against your side next year?
Football, eh.
