Birmingham City will hope to avoid a scalp of any kind as they await their FA Cup draw fate.

Birmingham City will discover their FA Cup round one opponents, as they enter at this stage of the competition for the first time in more than 20-years.

Blues’ relegation from the Championship last season meant that because of their League One status, they aren’t afforded an automatic bye past two rounds to Round Three, which is when the Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa enter. The only way for a Second City Derby to take place is for Chris Davies’ side to make it past two teams.

Could Birmingham be on TV?

Yes. A total of five games were shown in the 2023/24 season, and given how much focus the media has on Birmingham right now, there will be a desire to broadcast them, depending on who they get. Games are on BBC, and TNT this season.

Who are the lowest ranked team left?

Hednesford Town who play in the Northern Premier League Dvision One are the lowest ranked team left. They are currently 17th in the eighth tier of English football, but must defeat Gateshead to book their place in the first round.
