Former Birmingham striker Clayton Donaldson has landed his first coaching role in the game with non-league side Farsley Celtic. The former Jamaica international, who is now 39-years-old, has been appointed as a player-coach with the National League North outfit as he looks to prolong his playing career for as long as possible.

The Blues snapped him up back in 2014 from Brentford and he went on to score 33 goals in 117 games during his time at St. Andrews. He has racked up 754 appearances in his career to date and has found the net 246 times, having also had spells at Hull City, York City, Hibernian, Crewe Alexandra, Sheffield United, Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City in the past.

West Brom youngster eyed

West Brom youngster Jamal Jimoh is reportedly attracting plenty of ‘interest’ from the Premier League at the moment, as per a report by TEAMtalk. Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been mentioned as potential suitors for the highly-rated 16-year-old with it looking like the Baggies will face a real battle to keep him at the Hawthorns.

The midfielder has caught the eye playing for the club’s U16s and U18s, as well as with England at various youth levels. Spurs are said to have made regular ‘checks’ on his progress and may now try and lure him down to London.
