Former Birmingham City star Jude Bellingham is set to be dropped to the bench by Gareth Southgate according to a variety of reports seemingly ‘leaking’ the Three Lions’ starting XI for the World Cup game vs Wales.
England, who will go through to the round of 16 as long as they don’t lose by a four-goal margin, take on their UK neighbours in their final Group B fixture tonight (November 29).
It is expected that Southgate will make a few changes to his starting XI for the clash after a disappointing 0-0 draw against the USA last Friday.
There was a real uproar after that particular game as the England boss failed to bring on Manchester City star Phil Foden despite a real lack of chance creation. Southgate has since said Foden will play a key role at the tournament.
It looks as though Bellingham, who scored his first-ever England goal in the Group B opener against Iran, will be among the substitutes to allow for some big shifts in Southgate’s team selection.
As kick off approaches, here is the starting XI the Three Lions are expected to go with - based on a whole host of reports circulating.
