Former England captain David Beckham to attend blockbuster Birmingham vs Wrexham League One clash

Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has confirmed that Manchester United and Real Madrid icon David Beckham will be one of the star studded guests in attendance at St Andrews’ during Birmingham City’s home clash against the Welsh side.
McElhenney has revealed plans to fly directly to the game from the Emmys, where he will also be joined by NFL icon and Birmingham City co-owner Tom Brady.

“We're not legally allowed to bet on the games but we have fun, we have social media and whatnot. I'll be joining him and I believe Mr David Beckham will be there as well - we should have a good time.”
Wrexham, who won back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One, are currently riding a wave of euphoria and sit top of the table with 13 points from their opening five league games after victories over Shrewsbury Town, Peterborough United, Reading, Wycombe Wanderers and a draw with Bolton Wanderers.
Birmingham, who were the bookmakers favourites for the title back in August, are sixth in the table with 10 points from four matches, but still have one game in hand on the leaders.
