Leeds United make transfer decision on Birmingham City, Cardiff City and Luton Town star

Leeds United have offered a new contract to Birmingham City defender Cody Drameh.
The Whites posted their retained list on Friday and Drameh was among four players offered a new deal at Elland Road. He along with academy players Harry Christy, Joseph Snowdon and Luca Thomas have been given the options of signing new terms.

Hide AdDrameh spent the 2023/24 season out on loan at St Andrew's where he was in and out of the side. He made 32 appearances across three competitions playing under various different managers. The right-back made a total of 25 starts but started just one game when Gary Rowett was appointed interim manager and didn't play in the final four matches of the campaign.
News of a new contract comes as a surprise as it was 'almost inevitable' that he would depart. He played just 21 minutes under Daniel Farke before leaving in September and it was the third time he had been out on loan at Leeds.
The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting that Leeds' decision behind offering him a new deal is 'largely' financial. As he is under the age of 24, Leeds will receive compensation for him should he decide to reject the offer and move on to pastures new. In most cases, clubs agree a fee that is best for both parties but they fail to reach an agreement then it could go before a tribunal.
Drameh should he decide to leave Leeds could have a queue of clubs waiting to sign him. He has 70 Championship games under his belt after playing for Cardiff City, Luton Town, Blues and Leeds in the division. Drameh was named Cardiff's Player of the Year in 2022, despite only joining in January and just a year later he helped Luton win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
