Rotherham United could be without one of their starting midfielders, Daniel Barlaser, for the match against Birmingham City this Saturday.

The former Newcastle United man is nursing an injury that he picked up during the EFL Cup defeat to Morecambe in midweek and will be touch and go ahead of Saturday’s fixture.

Millers manager Paul Warne gave a full update on his side’s fitness concerns ahead of the Blues clash and away from Barlaser, things are looking good for the home team.

“Dan Barlaser has a slight issue, which we are managing,” he explained.

“Everyone else is green for go and we’re good.”

It’s not as positive news for Birmingham going into the game with John Eustace suggesting that they could be without five senior players.

Marc Roberts and Jordan Graham are nursing injuries and will be last minute decisions as to whether or not they are included in the matchday squad.
