Birmingham City’s closest rivals in the League One promotion race have made a significant deadline day signing, with former West Bromwich Albion winger Adam Reach joining Wycombe Wanderers on a free transfer.
The veteran wideman, who has over 400 Football League appearances under his belt, was a free agent after leaving West Brom at the end of the 2023/24 season but has now signed for the Chairboys on his 32nd birthday.

Reach, who made 230 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday before moving to West Brom in 2021, will offer experience and guile down the flanks to Dodds’ side as they look to maintain the pressure on the Blues at the top of the table.
Reach set for new chapter at Wycombe
Reach, who turned out for the Baggies 78 times and scored two goals during a three-year stint at the Hawthorns, was formally announced as a new Wycombe player on Monday afternoon, subject to EFL and FA approval.
Wycombe’s official statement described the club as “delighted” with the new signing, while Chief Football Officer Dan Rice praised Reach’s “vast experience.”

Wycombe are the latest of Birmingham’s League One rivals to make a significant move over the final days of the winter transfer window, with third-placed Wrexham also breaking their club transfer record to sign Reading’s Sam Smith as the Welsh club look to close the game to the Blues.
