Spurs, Leeds United and Leyton Orient stars join - Birmingham City's transfer window predicted

Birmingham City's staff and players this week departed the United Kingdom for Austria.

Blues' pre-season schedule begins in Austria where they will play FC Paderborn in a pre-season friendly.

A 27-man squad has been taken over but there is no place for Juninho Bacuna who is expected to join Sivasspor, whilst Manny Longelo is in talks about a proposed move to Barnsley. Academy graduate Alfie Chang didn't make the trip either but he's just continuing to work with the club's medical staff as he recovers from a long-term injury.

Birmingham's four summer signings; Ryan Allsop, Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Alfie May and Emil Hansson have all headed over and they will integrate with the players that came before them. Head coach Chris Davies will run the rule over a couple of players who could still leave St Andrew's before the start of the 2024/25 League One season.

Such is the nature of the transfer window, Birmingham have been linked with various different players, with some having substance behind it, whilst others are using the Birmingham name to attract more attention. The board are giving everything Chris Davies needs to be a success and have already backed him in the market after fees were exchanged for their signings.
