Birmingham City team news vs Coventry City: Jeacock starts in goal, Deeney on bench

Team news LIVE from St Andrew’s

Birmingham City manager Lee Bowyer has named young Zach Jeacock as the starter in goal for Good Friday’s Championship clash with Coventry City.

Jeacock gets the nod over Connal Trueman in place of Neil Etheridge who is still recovering from the nasty blow to the head he received against Nottingham Forest.

It looks like he’s sticking with a three/five at the back which won’t go down well with some but it’s a system you can’t say Blues aren’t used to by now.

The team in full then see’s Jeacock in goal with a back three of Nico Gordon, Marc Roberts and Maxime Colin.

Onel Hernandez and Kristian Pedersen look to be taking up the wing-back roles with Gary Gardner, Juninho Bacuna and Ryan Woods in the middle.

Lyle Taylor starts up front with Scott Hogan.
