Birmingham City are enjoying some downtime after recording their best Sky Bet Championship points total in seven years.
It was a successful season for Blues as John Eustace didn’t just guide his side to safety but also instilled a new belief at St Andrew’s.
There was plenty of frustration off the field as protests rallied against the club’s ownership, but there was a fairytale end as Tom Wagner swooped in.
Birmingham are now just one step away from completing their takeover and former Manchester City boss Garry Cook is expected to arrive.
In the meantime, though, there’s still plenty of uncertainty around the squad and who may stay or go ahead of next campaign.
Some players are linked with transfers away, whereas others have already departed as they were judged to be surplus to requirements.
The good form of last season has boosted Birmingham’s total squad market value, as has the use of young players throughout.
New additions will undoubtedly make the total rise even further but as it is, Blues have a combined £25 million transfer value from 22 individuals.
But how good is that compared to the rest of the Championship, including the three sides relegated from the Premier League?
