Birmingham City predicted XI vs Coventry City: FOUR changes with Troy Deeney decision made

Lyle Taylor will come back into the fold after he was ineligible to face parent club Nottingham Forest last week.

Birmingham City may have to make do without goalkeeper Neil Etheridge for Good Friday’s match with Coventry City.

The Philippine international has been in concussion protocol this week following the nasty head injury he suffered against Nottingham Forest and it would come as a shock to see him risked so soon after the collision.

Theoretically, if all goes well, Etheridge could be cleared for action for the game against the Sky Blues but it’s unlikely he will be rushed back into action.

Club captain Troy Deeney made his long awaited return from injury coming off the bench in the defeat to Forest and will be wanting to break back into the eleven and help his boyhood club finish the season on a high.

Whilst there’s nothing to play for but pride at this point, a bit of pride wouldn’t go amiss for fans of the Blues after yet another tiresome campaign with off the field matters.

Here’s the XI we believe manager Lee Bowyer could go with to do just that.
