Tony Mowbray will take to the St Andrew's dugout as Birmingham City manager for the first time on Saturday as Blues play host to Swansea City.
Back in Sky Bet Championship action following the 1-1 draw at Hull City in the FA Cup last weekend, Birmingham will be desperate to get off to a good start under their new manager. Blues need to get some strong results on the board quickly, too, otherwise a relegation battle could soon be on the cards.
Swansea are a decent side and one who Mowbray has plenty of respect for as they too play a fast-tempo, possession-based game. It's going to be a difficult test as a result, especially as Mowbray has only had a few days to get to know his new players.
It's therefore rather tricky to predict who exactly may start this weekend, but there are a few early indications. With that in mind, here's Birmingham World's predicted Blues XI for the hosting of Swansea.
1. GK: John Ruddy
Ruddy isn’t in the best form but Neil Etheridge didn’t exactly do much better on his start in the FA Cup.
2. RB: Cody Drameh
Drameh has been a tremendous signing for Blues and Mowbray is bound to love his willingness to dart forward.
3. CB: Dion Sanderson
Sanderson is expected to remain the skipper and be a core member of the squad under the new manager.
4. CB: Kevin Long
Long’s experience might be favoured for this one, especially with Mowbray a little unsure on his best options.
