Birmingham City have set off to Spain to begin their pre-season tour today (July 10).

Tahith Chong is among the four players left out of the squad as speculation over his future continues. The Dutchman was also absent from Blues’ friendly with Solihull Moors over the weekend.

The former Manchester United man had settled in nicely at St Andrew’s after making an initial season-long loan move permanent last September, and it’s believed that Blues will not sell winger this summer unless a sizeable profit can be made, according to reports.

But his impressive performances for City last season have gained interest from the Premier League as The Daily Mail claims newly-promoted side Luton Town have already begun talks over a potential transfer.

George Hall has also been left out of the pre-season tour squad due to an injury, as has Krystian Bielik and Sam Cosgrove, who is also injured.
