The details of Birmingham City’s 46 Sky Bet League One fixtures for the 2024/25 season have been revealed.

The official League One fixture release day has finally arrived ahead of the new campaign, incorporating newly relegated sides Birmingham City, Huddersfield Town and Rotherham United.

Birmingham now know their opponents for the opening weekend, Boxing Day and the run-in, as well as the dates for the key clashes against fellow title challengers.

Those relegated with Blues as well as the likes of Wrexham and Bolton Wanderers will all be fighting for the English third-tier crown, as well as promotion back to the Championship.

Chris Davies can now get planning ahead of a crucial run of opening fixtures that could set the tone for the entirety of the season, kicking off with the hosting of Reading at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park, in a 5.30pm Sky Sports showing.

Birmingham City key dates 2024/25

Opening weekend: Reading (H) - August 10; 5.30pm.

First away game: Wycome Wanderers (A) - August 17.

Boxing Day: Burton Albion (H) - December 26.

New Year’s Day: Stockport County (A) - January 1.

Run-in: Barnsley (H); Blackpool (H); Crawley Town (H); Burton Albion (A); Mansfield Town (H); Cambridge United (A).

Final day: Cambridge United (A) – May 3.

Games vs likely title rivals: Wrexham (H) - September 14; Rotherham (A) - September 21; Huddersfield (H) - October 1; Bolton (H) - October 22; Wrexham (A) - January 25; Huddersfield (A) - January 28; Rotherham (H) - February 1; Bolton (A) - March 4.
