Birmingham City announce full list of retained and released players following 2021/22 season

Birmingham City has today (20 May) announced its full list of retained and released players following the conclusion of the 2021/22 Championship season.
The club previously triggered extension options for three players, with Josh Andrews, Odin Bailey and Ryan Stirk all seeing their contracts extended until 2023.

Hide AdA further two players have agreed new contracts with the club.


As per the terms of their deals, Tate Campbell and Adan George will sign on 1 July.
Six of Blues’ Under-18 players have also been offered their first professional contract.
Alfie Brooks, Rico Browne, Rico Patterson, Tommy Fogarty, Callum Sullivan and Kieran Wakefield have been rewarded with the opportunity to sign professional forms.

Hide AdEight players have been released following the expiration of their contracts. They include: Jeremie Bela, Renedi Masampu, Archie Matthews, Kristian Pedersen, Oriol Soldevila, Kane Thompson-Sommers, Connal Trueman, Yoane Zohore.
Five players have returned to their parent clubs. They include: Tahith Chong, Onel Hernandez, Teden Mengi, Taylor Richards, Lyle Taylor.
The following players all remain under contract at St Andrew’s:

Remi Walker, Josh Williams, Ryan Woods.
