Birmingham City are one of several clubs chasing the loan signing of Leeds United right-back Cody Drameh, according to a report.

Phil Hay, the Leeds United writer for The Athletic said: “Plenty of Championship interest in Leeds United right-back Cody Drameh. Birmingham City at the forefront of it. Want him on a season-long loan. Looking likely.”

Birmingham City aren’t the only Midlands club that hold an interest, with West Brom said to have made an enquiry to their league rivals. Drameh has made two appearances for Leeds this season, but was subbed off after just 20 minutes in their 4-3 win against Ipswich Town last weekend.

The arrival of Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur has pushed him further down the pecking order at Elland Road, and now the Whites could consider letting him leave given he is unlikely to feature in Daniel Farke's plans.

Drameh has built up a good amount of experience in the Championship over the past two seasons, and won promotion with Luton Town earlier this year.

He was sent out to Welsh club Cardiff City for the second part of the 2021/22 campaign, and was named their Player of the Year, despite only joining the club in January.

The Dulwich-born defender made 19 appearances for the Hatters last term, and played in their Championship play-off final win against Coventry City.

In other news, Football Insider reporter Pete O’Rourke believes George Hall is set to sign a new deal at Andrew’s. The 18-year-old playmaker previously had interest from Leeds, but is now close to committing his future to the club.
