Birmingham City have received a boost after it emerged Hull City were not in for one of their reported targets.
Blues along with the Tigers were linked with Barnsley defender Callum Styles last week. Alan Nixon, an EFL journalist for the Sun posted on his Patreon page on Sunday that Styles was on their ‘radar’ however that does not seem to be the case.

Hull were said to be leading the race to Nixon’s report but now it is unclear what is the latest on Styles. Birmingham City have Lee Buchanan as their first-choice option at left-back whilst Emmanuel Longelo has filled in for when Buchanan has been unavailable.
Birmingham City made their first signing of the Tony Mowbray era last week after signing Andre Dozzell. He joined on Friday and made his debut on Saturday in the 2-1 win against Stoke City, making an appearance off the bench, playing 19 minutes.
QPR boss Martí Cifuentes said that the move took place after Dozzell pushed for the move to happen. He was praised for his attitude and efforts before leaving Loftus Road. Dozzell is out of contract in the summer and could sign permanently should he impress at St Andrew’s.

“We say thanks for his efforts and wish him all the best.
“There is no player in the world that moves to another club without wanting it. Perhaps he felt that it was a good step for him. “He had exceptional behaviour since I came here, and I just want to wish him good luck because he is a very good boy.”
