Aston Villa made a disappointing start to the Premier League season but they have been reignited under new manager Unai Emery, with both performances and results well up on the rise.

The Lions have managed to put together an impressive run of form and now sit just one point behind Liverpool and Arsenal, as well as just three outside the top six. There have already been some memorable results, including a shock 3-1 victory over Manchester United on Emery’s debut and a 2-1 win away at Brighton and Hove Albion – one of the toughest places to go at the moment.
