Aston Villa Women have released a new fly-through video showing Villa Park in a unique way that you’ve probably not seen before. Promoting the return of Women’s Super League action, the Lions shared some stunning drone footage.

Heading through the entrance of the Holte End, the camera swings around before going up the stairs, through the concourse and into the open air. On what looks to be a clear day, the sun shines on about two-thirds of the famous turf and you get a real sense of atmosphere – even despite the emptiness of the ground.

As far as adverts go, this certainly isn’t a bad one from Villa Women as they look to bring in fans for their remaining fixtures. Although they don’t play their home fixtures at Villa Park - rather at the Bescot Stadium - there are some big games still to go against the likes of Everton, West Ham and Leicester City.

Carla Ward’s side have had a great season as they currently sit in 5th place after 13 matches, on 20 points. Their last outing was a very enjoyable one for traveling supporters as the Villans beat Brighton & Hove Albion Women by a whopping six goals to two. Jordan Nobbs scored a hat-trick that day.
