Unai Emery has reportedly added Leeds United star Tyler Adams to a list of targets as he looks to build midfield depth ahead of next season.
Relegated from the Premier League on the final day, Adams is looking likely to leave Leeds in favour of a move back to the top flight.

It’s claimed Adams has a release clause of £30 million following the Lilywhites’ relegation, perhaps making him a snip in what is an inflated transfer market.
The 24-year-old signed for Leeds from RB Leipzig last summer for a fee in the region of £17 million and he did a decent job in the centre of the park, despite the team’s failure to stay up.

Making 24 appearances in his debut Premier League campaign, the defensive midfielder didn’t register a single goal or assist but ranked fourth out of anyone in the division for tackles completed.

In other West Midlands transfer news, Villa’s local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be contemplating activating CA Osasuna centre back David García’s exit clause.
Spanish outlet Diario AS claims the 29-year-old is available for just €20 million (£17.1 million). The report states Wolves “already tempted him in the winter window and are considering paying the clause this summer”.

Julen Lopetegui’s side will face competition for the defender’s signature, however, as “several English clubs” are considering a move. Wolves already have decent options at the back but could do with more depth.
García, who made 32 appearances in La Liga for Osasuna throughout 2022-23, averaged nearly five clearances, two interceptions and one tackle per game. There’s a reason he’s gained such interest from abroad.
