AC Milan have reportedly enquired to Barcelona over central defender Clement Lenglet, who is currently enduring a troublesome loan spell with Aston Villa. The former Tottenham Hotspur man is yet to play any Premier League minutes under Unai Emery whatsoever, while in the Europa Conference League he has played five times.
Reliable transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano reports contact has been made between Milan and Barcelona ahead of the January window. Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior has also been outwardly named as a player on Milan's shortlist as they look to add defensive depth ahead of the rest of the season.

Hide AdLenglet has struggled ever since he arrived at Villa Park, with Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Diego Carlos all ahead of him in the pecking order. The Frenchman probably should've expected to be playing fourth fiddle as his signing was made predominantly as emergency cover following Tyrone Mings' campaign-ending injury.
Whether or not Lenglet would have a better shot at starting games in Milan awaits to be seen but the defender may be tempted to give it a shot. Kiwior, on the other hand, has just begun breaking into the Arsenal lineup and could be a little tougher to convince.
