The latest Premier League transfer news as Aston Villa, Man United and Chelsea are alerted by a bargain striker's release clause.

AS Roma star forward Paulo Dybala could reportedly leave for a cut price this January with a new release clause in operation. The Argentina international, whom Aston Villa were offered last summer, is said to be a major target for fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea this month.

Dybala has built up a mammoth reputation across the planet during his seven-season spell at Italian giants Juventus, as well as his burst onto the scene at Palermo at the age of 19. His goalscoring output has slowed in recent seasons, prompting a slight step down to current club Roma, but he remains a terrific player.

The now 30-year-old's creative input cannot go understated as his assist tally often either matches or exceeds his goal totals. This season is a prime example as Dybala has four goals and six assists in 12 Serie A appearances. Game time has been limited by injuries, but he's been in fine form since returning in November.

Dybala release clause emerges

Transfer news journalist Fabrizio Romano reports Dybala now has a €12 million (£10.4 million) release clause active in his contract, valid until January 15. Another window then opens up from July 1 to July 31. The power is in Roma's hands if the club activating the clause is Italian but the decision is up to Dybala if it's a team abroad.

The attacker was linked with a Premier League move last summer as 90min unveiled Villa, Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur were all contacted about his availability. It could take some convincing to finally get Dybala to England, however, as he hasn't left Italian football since arriving in July 2012.

Links to Villa haven't reemerged just yet but Man Utd, Chelsea, Newcastle and Tottenham have all seen speculation ramp up again. Unai Emery may be tempted to make a move as it has become clear he wants another attacking option at Villa Park. Birmingham World will be on hand to report if and when new Dybala rumours arise.
