Aston Villa are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Leon Bailey over a new contract, with the deal set to be signed and announced in the coming days.
Arguably the Villans’ most improved player this season with 10 goals and eight assists in 31 appearances across all competitions, Bailey is set to be rewarded with improved contractual terms. Our sister publication, Express & Star, reports talks began last month and an agreement is close.

The 26-year-old is set to become the third senior Villa man to tie down their future this term, following on from Ezri Konsa and Ollie Watkins. Bailey should gain confidence once he's put pen to paper, further fulfilling the £25 million fee Villa paid to Bayer Leverkusen to secure his services in August 2021.
