The latest transfer news in the Premier League and Championship as an Aston Villa player previously bound for Hull City enters late talks with Swansea City.

Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis has been targeted by Swansea City with negotiations already underway over a potential summer move, according to multiple reputable reports.

The 25-year-old was previously thought to be Hull City-bound, heading in the same direction as his Villa teammate Jaden Philogene, who has agreed terms with the Tigers.

Hull made acceptable bids to the Villans for both players but Davis has now been targeted by Swansea as they look to replace Joël Piroe, who recently left for Leeds United.

BBC Sport reports it’s just an interest at this stage, but The Athletic claims the Swans have already opened talks with Villa. If around £2-£3 million is offered including add-ons, it will be accepted.

Davis spent last season on loan at Watford and played on 34 occasions, scoring seven goals. Before that, the attacker netted five league goals in 15 appearances on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Is Jaden Philogene to Hull City still going ahead?

Unless anything major happens last minute, Philogene will become a new Hull player on a permanent deal after a £5 million bid was accepted by Villa and the winger passed his medical.

The 21-year-old was a hit on loan at Cardiff City last term as he netted four goals in 37 appearances. He also impressed for Villa in pre-season, scoring during the 2023 Premier League Summer Series.
